Because it isn’t just a preference for white people in general. By importing white people from S. A. who claim to have been oppressed by blacks, they are trolling the libs. It’s about showing the libs that blacks can be racist too. That’s not what’s actually happening in South Africa where the white minority controls most of the land and generally has a higher standard of living, but that’s the narrative the Trump administration is going with right now. Do you know that these people had farms in SA? And you say they throwing them away? So why are they throwing them away? I thought they are refugees because farms were being stolen from them. Also, why do you think they are going to farm in the US? Is the US government going to gift them farms????? Instead of giving them to Americans? If these people had money to buy US farms clearly rhey would not be refugees, they would have bought them and moved to the US with visas. Or do you think they are going to work on American farms like laborers? Do you seriously think a midwestern or Californian american farmers are going to pick a white Boer “refugee” to work in their farms in the place of hardworking Mexicans or Central American workers?? That's just it. Were they literally tossed off their own farmland in the middle of the night with all they could fit into a single suitcase, their family farmland ripped out from under them by the government? Or did they own land there and sell it off because they were being robbed and assaulted three times a month. Or were they receiving random pizza delivery at all hours? What's the real story? [/quote]
In some ways that is irrelevant. They are in the country legally.
Trump and his refugee policy is not their fault. The world will always have more deserving people in need of refugee status and as a democracy that is an issue to raise with the government.

True, but to those of us whose ancestors never got the 40 acres or even the mule, this is not my priority for our tax dollars. OTOH, I would feel fine about the “tossed off their own farmland … by the government “ scenario.  Instead, I feel like Musky and Trump are working to increase the number of white nationalists in the US. It’s trolling with multiple goals — all of them reprehensible. [/quote]
