But for federal officials—elected by people all over the country EXCEPT those in DC—to step in and subvert the will of the people on local matters—that is tyranny, and no patriotic American could tolerate it.  You don't have any say in the local governance of the people of Tennessee, or Maine, or Texas, or California, but you are happy to let their elected officials govern you?  That's Parliament and the Colonies.  Patrick Henry would be embarrassed to know you.[/quote]

If you are do devoted to self-government, why did you move to the federal district established more than 200 years ago?  And are you advocating for the return of most governments functions to the states?  Because that's what Patrick Henry wanted.[/quote]
