The cleavage discussion is distracting from the plagarism and lying [twitter]https://twitter.com/gtconway3d/status/1766299719511269841[/twitter]
+1 The rape story sounded like BS. No way someone could be raped continuosuly for hours on end and live to tell about it.
I do not agree with the GOP in any shape way or form, but I hate to break it to you, yes, that happens, and yes they generally survive (unless the criminal/s flat out murder the victim).
For hours on end? I don't believe you. Women in India die from gang rapes all the time that don't last as long as the ine she described did.
Please stop. You do not know what you are talking about. Rape can occur with or without physical injury. Females, including children, have lived through years of rape. You are clueless as to the horrors that exist in this world.
We're talking not talkimg about a single occurrence of rape, we're talking about someone being raped non-stop, for hours and hours, by a never ending stream of cartel members. Until you can at least acknowledge the deaths of women who have been gang raped to death before, then maybe you're the one who should stop.
NP but I don’t think anyone is discounting the horrors of what this woman went through. I just don’t see why someone would bring it up in the response to the President’s state of the union when it happened in Mexico 15-20 years ago and has nothing to do with the current president.
What bothers me most about this is that Senator Britt says, “We wouldn’t be okay with this happening in a third world country.” And then she follows it with, “This is the United States of America.” The sex trafficking, as we now know, didn’t occur in the United States. But if it did, the logical follow-up would be something like, “But it didn’t happen in a third world country. It happened here in the United States.” That’s how you would deliver the most emotional impact. But Senator Britt very carefully avoided saying that to give herself plausible deniability later if someone called her on it. (And someone did.) That means she *deliberately* misled millions of people with an emotionally charged story that she knew was untrue—FOR POLITICS. It’s just disgusting. I guess bearing false witness is okay for some people.
