The biggest problem with fake tags is that they aren't connected to anything or anyone. DC can mail all the tickets in the world but they will have nowhere to go. As such the ONLY thing they can do is to boot and/or impound vehicles on the spot. [/quote] I believe that the booting/impound crew is skeletal..one truck for the whole city? That means they aren't serious about it. You can ask Frumin at the meeting. Same things with the car theft/jacking task force being understaffed according to the detectives. If you care about an issue, you staff it.[/quote]
