You people need to go outside and live a little or move. These scaremongering threads everyday is tiresome. Crime happens everywhere, particularly in inner cities. The city needs to invest in a higher minimum wage, educational opportunities and the supporting of whole families. Putting more people in jail in the 22nd century is barbaric.
We don't need a marxist state to reduce crime - problem/reaction/solution much? Reducing poverty is a worthy goal but it has been a constant in human history, unlike unchecked lawlessness. The poor and people of color are overwhelmingly the victims of crime, they deserve to live in safety. My immigrant ancestors were poor and none were criminals or violent, in fact some became law enforcement, fire fighters and served their communities in other ways. They had food scarcity at times but did not use that as a pretext to carjack for joyrides, beat elderly or snatch dogs from owners. What works is simple and it works quickly. It's even working just up 95 in Baltimore and saving a LOT of LIVES. [twitter]https://twitter.com/ChuckThies/status/1740371464237568313[/twitter]
