It says she doesn’t have any substantial assets and her house isn’t paid off. That wasn’t her making half a million, it was her husband. They’re divorcing. I’m pretty sure they’re not savers or smart investors, so between that being a fairly new income level for him and them getting divorced, it doesn’t seem to translate to them being solid and secure. She makes approximately 175k annually, with 4 kids, a grandkid on the way, and being around wealthy people who dress nicely, eat at expensive restaurants, and drive nice cars, I bet she blows through her salary with nothing to show for it really quickly. I’m sure she isn’t ethical about campaign money or gifts, but assuming she isn’t a blatant thief, $175k doesn’t put her in the price bracket I bet she wants to live in.

Again, 175k is comfortable. There’s no reason someone in Colorado couldn’t have a fine life with that income. But someone who didn’t come from money, doesn’t have a great education and financial background, who has 4 kids and a grandchild (and idk, maybe a DIL) to be financially responsible for, who’s running with a wealthy crown and has to keep up appearances, while also dealing with impulse control issues (vaping and feeling up a partner during a family friendly play definitely demonstrates impulsive tendencies), I don’t have great confidence she’ll be happy with $175k plus possibly some child support (if he keeps a high paying job he seems to have gotten due to her political rise-will he keep it after the divorce). 175k isn’t rich though.
