Congratulations to Battlefield last night from a Riverside fan. I thought the Bobcats played well. You can tell the team has been playing together for a while. They looked organized from top to bottom. And they mean business. I can appreciate their style of play. I agree with a PP. The draw was key. Battlefield seemed to settle on one primary player taking the draw for most of the night. It looked like Riverside was testing many combinations. Draws will come down to circle play and Battlefield had the advantage there last night. Someone mentioned the Riverside commits. They do have four. Their goalie commit did not play last night. They had a fill in who doesn’t have a lot of experience in goal. Several of the other commits sat out for good chunks of the game as someone already mentioned. And several girls who will be counted on to start sat out last night. Not sure why. Battlefield will be a very good team this season. I think other teams on their schedule will have their hands full. I’m not quite sure what to expect from Riverside since they haven’t fielded a regular starting lineup in their scrimmages. They have a really young team. Some with no lacrosse background at all having to play significant minutes. Again, congratulations to Battlefield. And best of luck this season.
