Honestly have all the guns you want. I don’t care if everyone is armed. What I do care about is whether you fire the gun. If you fire a gun in a populated area, you should be locked up perhaps forever. There is no excuse for risking human life and making everyone else less safe, and there is no room in our society for people who fire a weapon when others are around. Hunting is fine, and true self defense, but anything else we should lock people up and throw away the key.
That’s how I feel about people who speed excessively or those with deadly, highly contagious diseases who go out in public without proper protections or those that sell cigarettes or high fat and sugar food.
Other people’s fat and sugar endanger you? Please.
We’re talking about death dumb ass and that stuff kills more than guns do every year. Worse it increases health care costs. At least when you’re shot and killed the health care costs cease.
Name calling is so puerile. The subject of this thread is firearms. Go start your own thread if you want to talk about controlling other people’s diets. And if you think that health care “costs” have anything to do with actual risk, you’re the dumb ass. Your insurance and copays cost what they do because of profit motives (even in ostensible nonprofits), high salaries for personnel and executives, dividends and share price increases for corporate stockholders, and because the very existence of health insurance raises costs to consumers. Do you honestly believe that if outlays went down everybody would charge less?
