Kind of. Deferred from a reach EA and today a safety EA (which was shocking--I didn't even tell my kid I know. He doesn't want to go ther and doesn't know decisions come out). Waiting to hear from a match tonight and and a match/reach tomorrow. If neither of those pan out (and I'm not feeling good about it, given what happened with the safety today), then yes, we're back to the drawing board. This is way harder than I thought it would be. Just got his second deferral of the night. From a match, though his college counselor thought it was a pretty sure thing based on previous students from his school. And these schools are nothing to write home about. This is a nightmare. [/quote]

I’m sorry PP.  it’s strange that the counselor could be so off about a safety and a match. It will be good to sit down and come up with some options a solid tier below the “safety.”  Even if he’s somewhat tepid about a few of them, shoot off the apps.  He just needs one acceptance to get back on track.[/quote]
