The General Assembly is the legislative branch of the Virginia government that makes state laws. It is divided into two parts — the Senate and the House of Delegates. Democrats control both the state Senate and the House of Delegates. If a gun control bill get passed by both houses of the General Assembly and sent to the Governor for approval who then signs the bill into law...then what? What you gonna do?
Not even a hypothetical... Senate just passed three bills yesterday. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/851968.page
Don’t worry. First court case is already being appealed. If that is not overturned it will go up to SCOTUS eventually. The constitution will win out. Meanwhile a bunch of time and money will have been wasted.
Scalia would disagree. “Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose” https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/07pdf/07-290.pdf #themoreYOUknow
Not so fast..... what else did he say in Heller? Scalia said "guns in common-use are protected" Ponder that as you consider that the AR-15 rifle is THE most common rifle in the United States. There are more AR-15's than minivans - ALL minivans - that have ever been built by all the car companies who build a model of minivan. The AR-15 is literally the definition of "in common use"
