Can't speak to the late notice, but she started July 1, so the meet and greets have to be over the summer! I feel bad for her - school hasn't even started, she's been on the job for exact 3 weeks, has had 2 open houses, and you are already unhappy. How about looking at the positive?
I guess I was hoping for a principal to have better communication practices than the last. School for students doesn't start till September. Why not have a lunch meet and greet with students then? Or an assembly to welcome the entire student body with a reminder to end the practice of hazing students on "Freshman Friday" (first Friday of the school year). Are there to be additional sessions with parents and students at a time families don't have vacation plans? Or is this a MCPS maneuver to say she had the obligatory meet and greets? Who knows. After so many years with crappy principals at Hoover then Churchill, perhaps I am a bit jaded. I will be a happier person when my youngest graduates and no more MCPS BS.
+1
