They're not mutually exclusive actions. You can work for better mental health care policies and programs AND ALSO for more regulation of guns.

Or, if your energies don't extend to both, you can work for one, while supporting other people's work for the other.

All of these "No, you shouldn't protest, it's bad, it's a waste of time, it won't accomplish anything!" posts make me think that people who oppose the goals of the protests are worried that protesting actually will accomplish something. Good. They should be worried.[/quote]
