My own mother used to ask me to do this too when I visited.  So weird.

Also we used to stay at a beach house once in a while but stopped going because the owner had a serious list of rules.  You can't touch this, you cant turn that on.  [b]You have to strip your bed linens and wash, dry and fold them before you leave.  You had to fully wipe down all counters, vacuum the floor and dust. [/b] Like I'm sorry, but I'm on vacation.  Don't rent out your space and ask me to do all the work when I'm done so you don't have too.[/quote]

I'm confused by this. If it's an air bnb or vroom I always clean up before we go and ask that others do the same for my properties. Is this so much to ask? I thought it was normal protocol. [/quote]

Not air bnb or vroom, just a typical rental beach house through a rental website.  And yes dusting and vacuuming is too much to ask if I am paying you to stay there.  Do you dust and vacuum in hotel rooms?[/quote]
