If hiking is boring to you, leave nature for those who enjoy it. I do think it has gotten more popular and mainstream but it's not a fleeting fad. The allure-fresh air, sunshine, exercise, endorphins, wildlife, vegetation, scenery...dare I say boulders, escaping other humans, a sense of awe, etc.[/quote]

Wow, are you jealous of this couple’s wealth, fitness, attractiveness, and their cute dog and baby? And now it’s schadenfreude? Why are you triggered by a family who loves the great outdoors? I love to hike. It’s not to show off but to enjoy nature, the outdoors, the solitude, the mental and physical benefits. People have been hiking for pleasure for centuries. It’s not some fad.[/quote]
