I'm a Wilson parent and I don't get why are people overreacting to this. The kids who would score well on the test didn't care about taking the test. End of story.

The way to get kids rethinking it is to show them this thread and other commentary and  let them know that the reputation of the school is at risk.  Believe me I got a thoughtful pause when I brought this up to some students myself.

But to think that these test scores actually mean very much about what the high-performing kids are actually learning, I personally don't buy it, especially given the college results of the seniors last year.[/quote]
