And this is why I'm happy I only invite people who think thanksgiving is more than about plates and cutlery.
And this is why I'm happy my family enjoys going out of their way to make celebrations elegant and memorable in addition to being warm, friendly, loving and fun. We remember Grandma when we use her silver to lay a table she'd be proud of.
I'm baffled that people seem angry and annoyed that folks want to set a nice table at Thanksgiving. Its like the proles complaining about the bourgeoisie and then smashing their furniture.
I'm not angry and annoyed that the PP is using Grandma's silver. I'm just annoyed at the other PPs who insist that I need to use silver. I don't have any silver from Grandma, and I don't plan on getting any of my own, because I have other priorities. If you don't like my priorities, don't come to my Thanksgiving dinner.
In 14 pages, who insisted that anyone needed to use sterling silver?
