My point is the FBI has profilers. So APD clearly is checking the serial killer connection angle, if this is true. FBI could have been invited in to assist, not because there were federal laws broken.[/quote]

Just like VSP and FCPD assisting..crime scene is not their jurisdiction, but they have equipment/resources/etc. that the City does not. VSP provided forensic equipment, and most likely the officers trained to use the equipment as well. Fairfax County PD has assisted by providing use of Fairfax 1 helicopter (APD does not have a helicopter) as well as the officers operating the helicopter. I'm glad to see law enforcement agencies working together to protect the public.[/quote]
