Target - their DEI garbage made it easier to totally stop going, but I cut back even before that because the quality of what they sold dropped in recent years.

Michael's - recent shadiness with pricing and poor stock had me finding alternatives.

Anthropologie & Urban Outfitters - They've been caught lots of times stealing products from artists, sometimes getting samples under the guise of wanting to do business with them. Also, they destroy merch and throw it away instead of sending it to an outlet or overstock agent.

Whole Foods - before Amazon, we loved the WF by us. The staff was happy to loved to recommend stuff. Most of the staff left within months of the Amazon takeover. We don't go at all anymore.

There's a fabric store I went to twice for thread that seemed to be staffed exclusively by mean, old ladies. The first time, I thought it was a fluke. The second, I realized that's how they operate. If you're not part of their quilting crew, they are vile. Even if you own an expensive sewing machine. F them! I bought thread charts and order my thread online from a nice woman who ships super fast.
