I constantly see lunatics making threats against Fauci all over social media.  To try and claim nobody cares and there's no threat is either completely ignorant (in case you need to STFU and go out and do some research) our straight-up dishonest gaslighting.

There is NO scenario whatsoever in which the claims of nobody caring about Fauci and him not having any threats against him are true.

No it wouldn't  "be major news."

FBI investigates threats against public officials all the time, hundreds of cases a year.  And sometimes they make arrests.  But just because it wasn't headline news doesn't mean it didn't happen.  For example, in 2024 they prosecuted 78 people for making threats against public officials, yet unless it was someone with a van full of explosives or someone caught with a sniper rifle a few dozen yards from his target, then no, most of them DO NOT end up "major news."  If everything the FBI prosecuted were "major news" then the daily news would be completely dominated by FBI news.
