[/quote] I doubt too many parents tutor their teens. Teens are not interested in working with parents at this stage for the most part. The issue with tutors is pushy parents who aren’t satisfied that their child is placed in a level 2 math class based on his ability. They can’t stand it so they get the level 1 material and hire a tutor to spend hours trying to push the child past what he can handle. But he’s moved up, works with a tutor on a daily basis, gets in the level 1. Mom’s happy, kid’s miserable. [/quote]
