Hate those dresses - not age appropriate imo.
Part of me thinks that but then I remember I am now a middle age mom. I remember my parents telling me my outfit wasn’t appropriate as a teen. Sorry, I’m not spending $200+ on a dress that’ll be worn once. I *may* she’ll out for prom, but HoCo? No way. My daughter has a standard uniform Windsor micro mini dress. The only variation between girls seems to be the color and if they are wearing shoes or sneakers.
We, the good girls, agreed with your mother. My brothers(the cool and the quiet) and their friends “said many things” about you. My 13yo DS says that girls like your DD don’t respect themselves(no, we’re not religious).
Ick it sound like your opinionated boy is going to be trying to get out of a SA charge by saying the girl provoked him with her mini skirt. Your post says everything that is wrong with men. Glad you are raising a pig.
 The problem is really trashy mothers like you. You cannot give the message to your girls that they should cultivate their mind and brain, but then allow them to dress like pole dancers. There are many age and occasion appropriate clothes for girls, but, if they are deliberately dressing to be sexy, well then, people are going to look at them because they are sexy, and the opinion about them will be that they want sexual attention. That is all. Mostly the girls who are dressing like this are coming from messed up families and they are fair game to many boys who are also from messed up families. The generally decent boys and girls may judge them but they stay far away from them. They won't touch these people with a nine-foot pole because who wants to deal with a dumpster fire?
NP and you sound insane. Is there any age where you find these dresses appropriate? I mean, take 80% of boring suburban moms and we all used to dress like this back in the day.
This is DCUM. The population is multi-cultural, educated and multinational. So, the typical trailer trash is not the norm here. That's all. No, not ALL girls used to dress like this back in the day. Not ALL girls dress like this even now. At least not in DMV.
It’s not the length or the tightness that’s the problem. It’s the cheap material and cheap looking sparkles from stores that sell $60 dresses that look like trailer trash as you call it. You can’t help but look trashy in those dresses. There are hundreds of different styles that look like they belong on the educated teen you are talking about. https://www.aliceandolivia.com/CHARA-SLEEVELESS-SCOOP-NECK-MINI-DRESS/CC304P43515H330.html https://www.revolve.com/katie-may-sahara-dress-in-periwinkle/dp/KATR-WD336/?d=F¤cy=USD&countrycode=US&gclid=CjwKCAjw9-6oBhBaEiwAHv1QvIE-YOaSo-7UZgV-n-oB54hM6fwPQb5qeo37_0d1aKx0znz-08VTlhoC4oQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/alice-olivia-harmony-mini-slip-dress-prod264990305?childItemId=NMT54WJ_&msid=4637426&navpath=cat000000_featuredd_cat40360738&page=0&position=11 You can find slip dresses and short dresses that don’t make you look cheap.
