I am neither Republican nor Democrat but I do notice that all Democrats along with the 8 Republicans voted against McCarthy while 210 Republicans voted for McCarthy. But somehow the 8 Republicans are extremists while the Democrats are not? It takes two to tango, you know.
That is a Misrepresentation - Motivations matter. Dems voted to remove him due to his acting in bad faith as speaker of house - launching impeachment proceedings without evidence, reneging on bipartisan bills to appease loony faction of Republicans While the ultra MAGA wing of republicans have completely weaponized normal house proceedings to obstruct and block government carrying out its mandates. They opposed McCarthy because he chose to uphold bipartisan spending bill. Any negotiations with Biden or Democrats are caged in extremist military terms.
