No.  I don't think he is stupid.  He saw the republicans we're going to win that district and got out.   The republicans could have run a mushroom as long as it spouted maga nonsense.  That district is full of dummies [/quote]

Respectfully disagree. It should have been a very close race but for the failure to offer a coherent response to the crime I’d out of control message that took hold statewide. An older, establishment Dem was not at all a good choice for the district when enthusiasm was needed. Add to the mix the fact Santos is commonly perceived as idiosyncratic and is not infrequently referred to as a weirdo. His messaging on MAGA ran hot and cold. [/quote]
