I'm Jewish and no, this really isn't coming from  the left. It's very disturbing that being critical, in any way, of Israeli policy regarding the Palestinian issues, the land issues,  etc.,  becomes anti Semitism. It absolutely is not. One is about a country and it's political decisions.  Anti-Semitism is about Jews, period. I take more issue with that, than Whoppi's faux pax.   One can see how Whoopi's comment was problematic,  but one can also understand what she misunderstood. She misunderstood abd she apologized and did 
a lot of clarification.  It wasn't at call an anti Semitic comment, it was an uneducated comment- which, btw, Mayim Bialek agreed with!

She's said some pretty dumb things in the past,  and this was in need of clarification,  for  sure, but I wasn't too thrilled with the gentleman's criticism of the left, and he sure didn't explain that either- but everyone knew what he meant. [/quote]
