HELP!!! MY MATH IS FAILING! WHY THE NUMBERS DON'T ADD UO??? Add these two numbers: POSITIVE TOTAL CASES NEGATIVE TOTAL CASES They dont reflect the total number performed tests. So what about 4 million missing test results per this data? Inconclusive? Please try to balance the numbers below. Good luck. You will need it; Unless you know better math then us all:
It’s the new math - it doesn’t conform to your outdated standards.
Oh.. I see.. Silly me... totally!forgot that probably some new Curriculum 2.0 grads must have entered the work force by now...
The Maryland COVID Dashboard has an FAQ that explains the numbers. Testing Volume Testing volume data represent the static daily total of PCR COVID-19 tests electronically reported. This count does not include test results submitted by labs and other clinical facilities through non-electronic means. Why don't confirmed cases added to persons tested negative equal total test volume? Testing volume is total tests ever administered; it is not the sum of total confirmed cases plus persons tested negative. A person will be counted multiple times in testing volume data but not in positive or negative case numbers. The FAQs can be found here: https://phpa.health.maryland.gov/Documents/faq_covid19_data_dashboard_083120pdf.pdf
Still FIVE MILLION people tests is a whole LOT of double testing. WHOLE LOT!
Well - I personally have to tested every two weeks for my job - going back to about August (all negative by the way).
