Really?  Because what I see is this:  those who are constantly defending illegal immigrants are now in a quandary.  Do they condemn this man for the horrific crime he committed, and admit he (and other criminals who are also here illegally) need to be deported?  Or do they rise to his defense, and in doing so, insult the Muslim community they pretend to have such empathy for?  Hmm.  What a catch-22 for liberals.[/quote]

I am sympathetic to undocumented residents and I am not in a quandary.  I'm surprised at the thought that someone might even think that I am in quandary. I don't know anyone who defends violent criminals, legal or otherwise. Violent criminals deserve to be jailed. So, yes, of course I condemn this man for the horrific crime. No quandary. Should he be deported? He hasn't been tried, let alone convicted, so it is a little early to start determining punishment. But if the facts are as alleged, he deserves a long jail sentence followed by deportation. No Muslim should be and probably few are insulted by opposition to collective punishment. The only person who should be punished for killing Nabra is the man who did it. No need to exploit her murder for another agenda. [/quote]
