(I'm not Jeff.) Sure, if this particular guy had not immigrated illegally, he would not have been able to commit the crime. It's easy to see in retrospect that we'd be better off if he hadn't come here. But would we all be safer if no illegal immigrants came? This seems to be your question and agenda. Studies seem to show that immigrants -- in particular illegal immigrants -- commit crime at lower rates than native born Americans: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/illegal-immigrants-and-crime-how-big-a-problem-is-crime-committed-by-immigrants/
So maybe we would actually be better off with more illegal immigrants and fewer native born Americans.
Wow. And you wonder why those who are apologists for illegal immigrants (Hint: Democrats) just can't seem to win an election.

Really? Because what I see is this: those who are constantly defending illegal immigrants are now in a quandary. Do they condemn this man for the horrific crime he committed, and admit he (and other criminals who are also here illegally) need to be deported? Or do they rise to his defense, and in doing so, insult the Muslim community they pretend to have such empathy for? Hmm. What a catch-22 for liberals.

I agree. This was scary.
There was a brutal assault and murder of a girl at Accotink Lake in the Springfield area that absolutely was gang related although I don't know if it was MS13 or not. Bottom line is there are thugs out there targeting kids. That is frightening.
The gangbangers lived in maryland and chose springfield to commit their crime. Populated urban areas in reston, springfield, great falls, herndon etc are where they like to hang out with their buddies and bug people or pickup women. I remember when I was a teen in the 90s an asian girl got kidnapped or went away with some gangbangers for days and reported as missing. Girls need to stay away from crowded cars with men or just dont look or bother them. I avert my gaze everytime.

Anonymous wrote:The contributions of young, illegal central American immigrants to ultraviolent crime and misdemeanor in our area cannot be denied. I cannot say I'm shocked. Twenty years ago I worked with the middle wave of Salvadoran and central American children brought over by parents fleeing the civil war. There is no intake process and while their parents work day and night they are left to the Latin kings 18th street gang Ms 13 and of course our fine public schools to be raised. Honestly, if we are going to offer sanctuary we should also offer the programming to calibrate these children to our civic norms and fight gang influence. Otherwise, they should go home and we should offer aid to these central American countries to battle gang violence and develop their own civil societies. Simply accepting them and thinking they'll integrate just because is stupid. The same goes for many poor, undereducated (my teen students were functionally illiterate) struggling populations coming to the US from places of strife.

But, what happened is not road rage.

While you all were debating about illegals, someone set fire to Nabra's memorial in Dupont Circle.

O.k. - that is horrible but it is also a separate incident from the crime that we are talking about.
I hope that they catch and prosecute the POS who disrespected her memorial like that.
It's more on topic than the PPs debating about the MoCo rape. And why can't you idiots delete the previous quotes in your replies? So much damn scrolling!
