I posted earlier at 8:15. I don't necessarily think activists are worse than other people. It's like people that want to tell you about how religious they are to presumably establish credibility. I am just suspicious of them. I don't think anyone is trying to silence her. Some people were just relaying their experiences to give the OP something to think about.

Regarding crime, living in NW DC is vastly different than living in an impoverished, high crime area like SE DC. It's highly likely that OP doesn't have experience doing a thankless job that is inherently adversarial and danegerous. You are constantly dealing with a small segment of the population that commits a disgusting number of violent crimes and disproportionately assaults and kills police officers. BLM supporters know nothing about use of force and don't seem to understand that in many of these situations you have literally no time to even think about how to respond because they happen so fast.

If you knew anyone who was a cop in the 70's or early 80's, you would know that law enforcement has changed for the better in many ways. Watching a few cherry picked videos over and over again is pointless. Cops will always make mistakes. I see them screw up and shoot (not real ammo) the wrong person in training all the time. But if you make a mistake in real life, you are a racist goon. There is a reason why cops generally don't  judge each other, and that is because they know that it could be them who is the one making the mistake. Maybe BLM could learn a lesson from those cops.
