They will never be released because so many powerful people on both sides of the aisle are compromised.  Tons of business leaders are compromised.  Other world leaders were caught up in this mess. You're using the law as if that arbitrary difference matters biologically.  The legal implications and practical implications are different.  Also, it's not clear who was exactly how old at what point. [/quote]

We are strictly talking about legal implications and legal crimes for that matter. There is a rule. Anyone under 18 years is a child and you can twist yourself into a pretzel trying to argue semantics and how you were very mature as a 17 yr old, but if these men were engaging in these acts with a 17 yr, 11 month and 29 days old child, they were committing a crime. Stop being a rape apologist.

So you don’t place any blame on the bar in this analogy? It’s only the college kids you blame? The bar owners/employees are supposed to be the adults with a system in place to prevent fake IDs. And most of the time, of course they know they are using fake IDs. Walk into any college bar. It is pretty obvious which people are under 21. [/quote]
They’re both at fault to some extent. The bar/older man is at fault as much as the underage kids lying about their ages. It is what it is, if kids are going to lie, they need to accept some accountability.[/quote]
It’s disgusting the way you’re saying these girls (now women) should take personal responsibility. Vulnerable kids were groomed by seasoned predators, who used victims to recruit new victims. It wasn’t immediately obvious to these kids that they were ceding control of their bodies to a pimp. Girls with self esteem issues were made to feel special. They were isolated from other people in their lives. They were coerced into doing favors for the people who had been showing them favor. They were made to feel indebted. They were given drugs and alcohol to lower their inhibitions, dim their judgment, and make them feel like now they were complicit in illegal activities and could get in trouble if they went to authorities. If they pushed back, they were coerced with threats. They understood how rich and powerful Epstein’s clients/buddies are. Epstein had plenty of friends in high places. Who could they go to whom they could trust not to be compromised? Who could they trust with these secrets so their attempts to go to law enforcement didn’t get back to Epstein? Epstein’s clients/buddies were the people who run the world.[/quote]
