SpaceX is under contract with NASA through 2030 to provide 14 operational astronaut missions at a cost of $5 bn. Plus an additional $1.2 bn for the Artemis moon landing. Meanwhile Musk gets to ferry paying space tourists to the ISS. What’s he going to do, call NASA a pedo because his feel-feels got bruised?
Congress authorizes and funds all that and has oversight. Other CEOs of government contractors don’t intentionally alienate half of Congress to impress internet trolls.
You should regulate speech according to the wishes of Congress? Kroger & Albertsons have been on the other side of this. They are going to Republicans for help with their merger after previously firing employees for not wearing gay pride logos.
I didn’t say anything about regulating speech. It’s just common sense that executives of companies with billions of dollars of federal contracts should never be extreme partisans. It’s stupid for their business to alienate one side. NASA can’t be partisan and won’t want to partner with a partisan troll CEO. It’s not just about him. Military, government workers, and federal contract workers either don’t have social media accounts at all or have been warned to never post about politics.
