It literally sent chills down my spine when I read that.  That is just so messed up....like that swede caught a glimpse of something evil in that kid.

This man (and yes, he's a man) assaulted an unconscious woman behind a dumpster, and you're worried about whether or not he's an actual rapist, is that it? Since, because she was drunk and passed out, she's not the "perfect victim" and so we just need him to not be that evil? Guess what, he is that evil. He did what he was prosecuted for, as determined by a jury. And her drunkenness was factored into the equation in that a legislative body actually determined that it was a crime for him to do what he did. Unambiguously. It means nothing to me that he smiled about it. Well, I guess it confirms for me that he didn't deserve leniency. [/quote]

I would hope that no one would smile over doing something like that to another person.  That would show a severe lack of empathy.
