Not defending them but maybe this is more about war and the leaders are manipulating others by misusing religion to carry out their crimes -- using religion like the way Hitler used propaganda to get others to support his efforts to exterminate Jews. In war, there are no rules and evil people commit atrocities against innocent civilians.[/quote]
