I'm thinking the ^PP hasn't been in the dorms recently.

My kid was at Pyon Chen, and it was amazing. Pretty big, bright, right next to the Y. Bathrooms were great.   They're now at the View.

My younger DC has toured other colleges, and their dorms don't compare to Pyon Chen.  DC says we were spoiled with Pyon Chen.  IMO, a lot of univ have not so great dorms.

As a PP stated, UMD is renovating other dorms.

Also, lots of colleges have assaults and petty theft.  It's awful, but I wouldn't single out UMD for this.[/quote]
