· The loss of SYC’s tax-exempt status
· The direct hiring of a sitting board member
· Noncompliance of SYCs stated procedures and policies
· Unsafe and potential illegal building violations

These developments have sparked urgent calls for more transparency, fiscal accountability, and balanced representation of all sports programs within SYC.
During Friday's meeting, four to five board seats will be up for election, and all SYC members are encouraged to participate. For those unable to attend in person, a digital voting option will be available via email around the time of the meeting, with a limited voting window.
A group of commissioners from underrepresented sports is recommending a slate of candidates committed to restoring balance and trust. These individuals bring diverse experience and are dedicated to ensuring every sport—not just travel soccer—is supported fairly and equitably. These candidates are:
Matt Waggoner
Mike Waskewich
Andy Green
Nick Kartesis
Ralph Sullivan

Attendance in person is appreciated. Recent emails from SYC also indicate on-line voting will be available form 800-830 pm. Watch for notification.
