Maybe in your little corner.  But across most of America, farmers have been relying on foreign laborers for DECADES.  I remember Mexican farm workers from when I was a kid and I'm now pushing 60.  You definitely don't speak for most of the American ag industry.   Even in the 1950s close to 30% of US farm workers were foreign migrants.  That grew over time to be over 50% by 2000.  It grew over time REGARDLESS of who was President or who controlled Congress.

We need foreign laborers to be able to come her legally with prior authorization. These are called work visas. WE LIBERALS supported guys like Cesar Chavez, who organized American farm workers and tried getting them better wages.  YOU called him a communist, a socialist, a terrorist.  Incidentally, Chavez was very much anti-migrant labor, because he wanted Americans to be able to do those jobs for a fair wage.

WE LIBERALS have been calling for living wages for decades.  YOU whined and moaned and called US communists and socialists and terrorists and accused us of being greedy thieves and retaliated against us by busting unions and threatening American workers with automation and offshoring and everything else.

YOU CONSERVATIVES have stood in the way of these things for decades.  YOU have stood in the way of any kind of coherent policy for decades, whether living wages, immigration reform or even the border wall.
