California has refineries for oil and would just get it from somewhere else, but more likely would just ramp up solar, wind, hydro and where safe given earthquakes, nuclear. On its own, California would strike deals with Europe and China and continue to be the economic engine that it is. Why would you assert that other countries wouldn't do business with California if it were an independent country? They would be a more reliable trading partner than Trump's US currently is.[/quote]

Lmao.  You need materials for all of that, dumbass.  How do you build solar, wind, hydro without metal, solar panels (most of which are imported from China), copper, cement, nuclear materials.

Absolutely de-lu-lu dum dum. Once again, how would California strike deals with the EU or China?  They would have no currency. They would be cut off from international banking and the US dollar.  Even if California wanted to pay with its own, brand new currency, how would it do it given that it would be immediately blocked from the international banking system?  And how would California even be able to import all of the materials, energy, and medicines needed to survive? The federal govt would block their airspace with the USAF, it would block trucking into the state to the east with the US Army, and it would blockade the entire western coastline with the full might of the US Navy.
