Nancy Mace is rude and brings shame upon the office she holds. No one should speak that way about their constituents.

I’m not interested in worrying about what families are deciding in private. The government needs to get out of medical decisions. And I’d be willing to bet that any parent whose child is dealing with this stuff is doing a lot of thoughtful research and having serious conversations with their child and doctors. Who am I to judge?

1. I do not support what Nancy Mace did, but it is incontrovertible that this thread was started by someone pearl-clutching about her, not a MAGA, which you do not seem to understand.

2. Putting your own desire to perceive yourself as empathetic over the health and safety of children who cannot consent and who are undergoing cult-belief-based medical procedures with no scientific evidence backing them is psychopathic. Do you say “who am I to judge?” with other issues of incontrovertible child abuse, such as child marriage? If so, you clearly are in no position whatsoever to put yourself forward as some sort of moral authority.

Medicalized transition of children has been discredited around the world, including places far more liberal socially than the US. Your desire to remain ignorant of that to prop up your ego and self-perception of yourself as a good liberal is horrifying.
