American pro sports are definitely a melting pot. 28% of MLB baseball players come from outside America.  The NHL has twice as many Canadians as Americans, plus large numbers of Swedish, Russian, and Finnish players.  Even the NFL had 88 foreign-born players who took a snap in 2023.[/quote] yep lots of money even for average players.  Vice pro soccer in US.[/quote]
