Its been this way for awhile now. Shoot, they just started ranking 2031 teams now. Its terrible and toxic. Lacrosse doesn't even look the same as it did just decade ago. Parents are literally spending more money on youth lax than the scholarship $$ they may or may not get for college.

Talk to any parent whose kids have graduated from college.  They'll tell you - except for those few unicorns who are legitimately heads and tails above other players - the frenzy of club lacrosse at the younger ages is completely ridiculous.  Girls get burned out playing so many out of town tournaments, they get tired of crappy parent behavior when all they want to do is "play", parents put so much pressure regarding college access (not even scholarships, just "this will help you get considered at places you might not anyway").  Meanwhile those girls end up quitting the sport, playing low level club in college etc. - and (guess what) having great lives...

Top 5% - if your daughter isn't legitmately in that group by 7th/8th grade, chill out and enjoy the ride....
