No Democrat mayors were screaming about illegals under Trump. Border was so secure that they were screaming about too strict of a border . Trump is the only answer .
Fact: the number of illegal immigrants coming into the US increased every year that Trump was President, until 2020 when his incompetent COVID response destroyed our economy. Fact: 2019, after 2 years of Trump's "tough" policies, saw a gigantic spike in illegal immigrants coming into the US.
And, you know what he did? He didn't go to Congress and insist on a "deal" in order to take care of it. No, he actually told Mexico to get their act together, struck a deal with Mexico and threatened tariffs if they didn't follow through. And, illegal immigration fell as a result. https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN1TB17W/#:~:text=Last%20month%2C%20Trump%20threatened%205,across%20its%20border%20with%20Mexico. Having said that, the spike we saw in 2019 pales in comparison to what we have seen with Biden. Under Biden, there hasn't been a "spike." There has been a steady stream of illegal migrants that has only grown month to month. The chart shows the numbers. And, this chart doesn't include the last 6 months of 2023 which is even greater. And, the chart does NOT include the 30,000 migrants that Biden has granted parole each month by abusing his parole authority. "The president has blamed Democrats over the past couple of weeks for not passing a new immigration bill, even though Trump’s party controls both houses of Congress. Republican lawmakers are attempting Thursday to pass an immigration bill, but they will likely see defeat, as conservatives have so far failed to agree on a compromise." https://www.politico.com/story/2018/06/21/trump-immigration-congress-asylum-661213 The MPP struck his deal with Mexico in 2018. Illegal immigration went up a lot in both 2018 and 2019. It only went down in 2020 when Trump destroyed the economy so badly that even immigrants from third world countries didn't want to come here. Trump's immigration policies were a complete failure.
