I'd prefer to have my son's HS coach in the building year-round as they truly get to know the boys on and off the field.

You also have to remember that some schools like PVI have tuition that is almost half of other schools like many in the IAC. PVI is primarily a basketball school and does not have the budget for a full time lacrosse coach.  Most likely there is not a current staff member qualified to be a coach.  Where are they going to get a full time person?  It is hard enough for the public schools to get coaches and the budget for PVI is similar.  It is worth mentioning that despite this the team is competitive with the IAC schools and may have finished second in the IAC last year if they were in that conference.  [/quote]
