One of our classmates was married to a doctor but got extra money because she was Hispanic. What did she get? 15,000 dollars. The math is pretty clear. But the one that really got me was the subsidized university housing for married people. She got that too. While I was there (before gay marriage was legal) you could also have the subsidized housing as a gay couple. A lot of conversations about whether it was ethical to lie and say that you were actually a couple so you and your same sex friend could get cheaper better housing. [/quote]
