I think Nathalie and Shayne are still together. I kind of love them as a match — they have the same crazy energy, just one is introvert and the other extrovert. They both really value family, loyalty, and character. Disagree with whoever said they don’t have chemistry. He couldn’t stop talking about how great their sex life was in Mexico. The only thing that could break them is his insecurity. However she has a lot of inner strength, so maybe that is his attraction to her. And I think both are basically good hearted people with good intentions. They could go far if he grows up. Then again, you saw her family — the mom is the parent and breadwinner, dad gets to be a good hearted kid. That seems to be the dynamic she is most comfortable with and looking forward to recreating.
I feel like Natalie got a pass on her ultra weird behavior in the early days in Mexico. Like saying he's a piece of shit out of nowhere? She seemed really really off there. I guess it was nerves but I am surprised at how much everyone moved on from that.
I didn’t see that as weird behavior. They had a very jokey way of talking to each other, but Shayne switches in an instant to serious with no real hint or warning for Natalie. My DH did this a lot when we were first dating, so it instantly felt familiar. It’s all jokes and then suddenly he wants you to be serious, but doesn’t say it until he gets mad at you for continuing to joke. Drove me bananas. I called him on it and he’s mostly stopped. Now he’ll switch by saying something like “But seriously…” and I know that’s my cue. Shayne and Natalie didn’t have that worked out yet.
