There are tons of books banned from schools. I would link some here, but you know what would happen. Some parts of the country are just more comfortable with different forms of censorship. There really isn't anyone that's against censorship.
Lol, you're talking about Mein Kampf and Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
People have stated in this very thread that Mein Kampf should be in libraries.
Sure they have. Btw, even Mein Kampf isnt actually banned. Librarians just know not to order it.
But they should order it. It should be read. It had a massive impact on 20th century history. You can’t know that comprehensively without reading it. It’s the same reason The Bible and The Koran need to be in those libraries despite the constitutions ban on establishment of religion. (And no I am not comparing the bible to mein kampf, save that for another thread).
People should read a manifesto on exterminating the Jews that led to the torture and murder of 12 million innocent people and a world war that killed an additional 40 million civilians and 25 million soldiers? No, i'm good with people not reading it. I'm also good with the social ostracization of its adherents.
You're good with ignorance? You can't read anything you find abhorrent? You don't wish to understand? You think banning the book from libraries makes the evil ideology behind it go away? To the contrary, it gives it the cover of darkness. I could not disagree with you more.
