Governmnet schools have done a terrible job of dealing with the issues, so allowing people to take their education dollars elsewhere only makes sense. There's no reason for the government to operate a monopoly on education using our tax dollars.  Allowing families to choose where and how their kids are educated will allow the government to focus on the few students who remain.[/quote]

DP.  The USS One Fairfax has already sailed.  Too late to "right" anything.  Equity nonsense has taken over - is it really any surprise to you that so many have already left FCPS?  Good grief.  "Righting the ship" now calls for drastic measures.  Bring on the charter schools.[/quote]
