Not in NY for the kind of guys she wanted to marry. And there is something up with Charlotte. Besides being annoying AF and super whiny, I always got the impression that she's like, from Ohio. Not exactly to the manor born UES WASP material. As a native Manhattanite it always seemed like all of the characters were putting on a different persona of "being a New Yorker" but Charlotte has that in spades as well in a way that's really desperate and off-putting. Carrie would have married a rich man. And Big is not even a desirable one, so I suppose that ending fits. I just do not see someone with her looks, despite being skinny, being super popular with men.

I always got the impression she was highly amused by them since her own life was so boring. She also seemed all persona, but she didn't seem to really hang out or be clued into the type of people who you (or she) would *think* would be her type of friends. I think there was a reason she wasn't "snapped up" and that is largely that she was a total poseur in that world and didn't have friends and family looking out for her. [/quote]
