Upon further reflection, Carrie, as she is portrayed on the show, is an example of a woman who makes the most of what she has. Yes, objectively she is not very attractive and has an unconventional face shape. But she has a thin petite frame that she has honed through exercise and diet. Look at how muscular and beautiful her legs are and how sculpted her abs are. Average women do NOT look like this!
She then is incredibly well groomed and put together. Her hair and makeup is always done to enhance her facial features. She is always overdressed or dressed up in a way that is unique, quirky and with the intention of displaying all her body. She can't walk in a room without people looking at her due to the strange, cute or quirky outfits she wears.
Clothes. She exclusively wears designer clothes and shoes. She dresses up like she is THE prize. So much of seduction and beauty is in how to present yourself. She is wearing sky high expensive shoes, tight little designer dresses and walking around with a coy flirtatious smile.
Confidence. A lot has been written about Carrie's main character syndrome. But you know, she prances around in her expensive shoes acting like a prize who deserves the best men. This is not a shrinking wall flower. She has the confidence and sensual allure even a much more physically beautiful character like Charlotte does not. In face, we see that Charlotte has a harder time dating than Carrie, despite her objectively good looks. She is too prissy and too uptight and boring and frequently gets dumped.
Bedroom. By the way she carries herself and how many men she's slept with, she must be good in bed! She is fun, flirty and cute. Full of personality. Petite and quirky. Many men would be putty at her feet!
It's a TV show, not real life. Charlotte had a "hard time" dating only because the writers room despised gorgeous WASPs like her.
Flawed logic. If Carrie was such an amazing bedfellow, perhaps she would have had a high-status man marry her 10 plus years prior. The more logical conclusion is she's simply a drunken trainwreck used and led on by a series of men for easy sex with no intention of 'buying the cow' so to speak (marrying her). A lengthy sex life doesn't guarantee you're good at sex, but it does almost always mean STDs, baggage, substance abuse, and mental issues.

Charlotte would have married by no later than age 26 or 27, would have 2 or 3 babies on her own by age 30 or so (not adopted), and would have never been friends with someone like Carrie in the first place.
Samantha would be fake nice to someone like Carrie, i.e. professional network, but wouldn't actually befriend her and spend so much time with her.
Not in NY for the kind of guys she wanted to marry. And there is something up with Charlotte. Besides being annoying AF and super whiny, I always got the impression that she's like, from Ohio. Not exactly to the manor born UES WASP material. As a native Manhattanite it always seemed like all of the characters were putting on a different persona of "being a New Yorker" but Charlotte has that in spades as well in a way that's really desperate and off-putting.
Carrie would have married a rich man. And Big is not even a desirable one, so I suppose that ending fits. I just do not see someone with her looks, despite being skinny, being super popular with men.
Charlotte would have been snapped by a rich guy by 28 latest. It makes 0 sense she is friends with any of the other women. At all! What does she even talk to them about?
It’s almost like personality matters. I think Charlotte was a better friend than Carrie, but Carrie was more fun and had a personality that more men would like.

Here's the thing though, Jerry Seinfeld or Adam Sandler I might add are two ugly dudes who know they're ugly and generally are keen to recognize their 'stations' in life . They aren't out here acting like they're some kind of beauty mavens whose presence we should be grateful for . You could say the same thing for men in general. You seldom find men who are 4s and act like they're 8. Women on the other hand .............that's a different beast.

Not adopted? Because people like Charlotte never have fertility problems? Lol

The prettiest on SATC was Charlotte, which is why she had the most embarrassing story lines. Have to embarrass the pretty waspy one, while glamorizing and glorifying the uggo.
you sound unhinged
You're projecting. Charlotte in real life would have had a perfect life. Men would be tripping over themselves to date her, not the uggo Carrie. And Charlotte in real life wouldn't give some deluded immature striver like Carrie the time of day.
