At those events, the obvious choice was to prioritize the family with young kids, both due to the safety of the baby, and due to the fact that being pregnant or having a newborn in the heat summer is hard, and she needed help. And no, I don't resent that, or think it means I "earned" a vacation without my sister's kids.
