It varies by age group.  For example, for the senior team last year, Garnet was their top team and for the 2003 team, Blue was their top team.  And so on.  Although players often figure that out for themselves, Barca tries not to make it obvious and to keep players from focusing on that. [/quote]

Really? Why wouldn't you want your players to strive to be on the top team? Thats like saying DC United and Loudoun United are the same. Just train hard with no reward for being better than the rest. doesn't really make sense, Almost promotes non competitiveness . Am I wrong?[/quote]

Yes, you are wrong. Kids know what the A team is and they know if they are on it. But rosters are Barca can be very fluid depending on the age group. Kids are placed accordingly and the placement isn’t a sentence.

It is run more like a school in many ways. They coach to a curriculum and the curriculum is adapted to the team. [/quote]
