This thread is a huge reminder that so many people on this forum believe the world revolves around their decision to have children.
This thread is a huge reminder of how many people hate children.
No, it is a reminder that different people have different ideas about how to celebrate their marriage. Some people treat weddings as family reunions and make it kid friendly. Some people want something more formal and grown up. Some people think everyone is crazy and elope. I have been to a good number of weddings where the receptions started at 7 PM. There were no kids there and people had a great time. I have been to weddings where the reception started at 5, we took our son for dinner and had a baby sitter to stay with him at his bed time. There were some kids and people had a great time. I have been to weddings where the reception was earlier in the day and kids were invited. There were kids there and people had a great time. Just because people have a different idea of how to celebrate their wedding, and that does not include children, doesn't mean that they hate children. It means they have a different idea of how to celebrate. If you don't want to go because you can't bring your kids, RSVP no and send a nice gift. Wish them happiness in their wedding and move on with your life.
